Strategy

Most players just plant sensors out in the open. They are easy to spot and destroy. Hiding them in corners or hard to reach places can conceal them or make it much more time consuming for a monster to stop and destroy them. If they are hard to reach, their destruction would definitely be a sign of the monster, rather than wildlife like reavers coming along to destroy them.
